Described Video

Also called video description, described narrative or descriptive video.

Described Video provides a narrated description of a TV program’s main visual elements, such as settings, costumes, actions and on-screen text. The narration is added during pauses in dialogue, and enables people with vision loss to form a mental picture of the program.

Bell Fibe TV subscribers can enable Described Video through the settings menu:

Steps:

  1. On your FibeTV remote, press MENU
  2. Scroll to and select Settings
  3. Scroll to and select Accessibility
  4. Scroll to and select Descriptive Video
  5. Select On.
  6. Scroll to and select Save.

System Sound Effects

System sound effects allow users to know when they have made selections in the Fibe TV menu or have entered the Programming Guide on their receiver.

To access System Sound Effects options:

Steps:

  1. On your Fibe TV remote, press MENU
  2. Scroll to and select Settings
  3. Scroll to and select Accessibility
  4. Scroll to and select System Sound Effects
  5. Select the option preferred.
  6. Scroll to and select Save.
