Q - Does the technician bring the modem and installation kit?
Q - Can I still install the Bell Internet service by myself?
A - Yes, but by having a technician visit and complete the installation, we can help ensure you are receiving the best performance from your service.
Q - If I choose self-installation at the time of order but change my mind later, can Bell still send a technician?
A - Yes. If you decide that you would prefer to have Bell set up your modem and wireless network, you can call 1 877 227-1011 to schedule a technician to visit your home.
Q - I have my own home networking router. Will the technician set it up to work with the Bell Internet service?
A - No. The technician can only install and configure equipment provided by Bell. The Bell Internet wireless home networking modem comes with the latest features and is fully supported by Bell.
Q - What is not included in the on site installation?
The following are examples of what is not included with the on-site installation:
- Setting up a new computer
- Installing Bell Internet security services (call 310-SURF for help)
- Installing new phone jacks (an additional charge is applicable)
- Setting up file and printer sharing
- Installing additional cabling or equipment (such as wireless adapters or Ethernet cards) required to connect the modem to the PC
