Rated 3 out of 5 by Blaster Good Phone but typically targeted market
I have found it interesting reading the reviews of others for this phone. I would say the that this phone is a really good phone if you are in an area of great coverage because it has terrible ability to grab signal. The battery is agravating to say the least (it is forever plugged into my truck). The screen is nearly invisible in the sunlight (whenever I dare take it out of my truck). This phone is an extremely good "urban" phone. I would recommend this phone to people who live in areas where coverage is not a concern and who would not ask a phone to endure any sor of hardship. What type of phone would I recommend?? Don't know still have yet to find it :)

This is my first smartphone. It lived up to the hype. I love the camera and there are tons of apps to choose from. I wish the battery lasted longer (it runs down fast when playing games). Great integration with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The only downside, is that it is difficult to find all the settings to make changes. They don't seem to be organized very intuitively. It would be better if there was a way to search for the correct setting (help screen).
I would definitely buy another version of this phone in the future and I am glad I chose the SIII over the iPhone.

This phone is so easy to use. I use my camera and the Bluetooth almost every day. The size of the screen is great for watching videos and checking out my photo album. There's a lot of features on the phone as well as a lot of available downloads that work well with android technology. I am a very satisfied customer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by X3R0 Great phone Bad quality
IPhone user from 3gs to 4s, jumped to android with this phone. Love android. The Gs3 is a great phone, perfect for staying inside.
The screen is absolutely horrible in day light, completely unusable outside.
The build quality is very weak. Not once have my iPhones failed me in day to day use. The gs3 panel cracked in my pocket, the glass was fine, the shell was fine just the panel.$250 to fix it.
I'd avoid the gs4, its made from the same material and is thinner...

Although it is an all plastic design, the phone is very rigid, and feels surprisingly good in the hand. The screen is nice and large, which is good for me since I use my phone away from my ear 95% of the time . The screen is very sharp, and I rarely find the need to zoom into a webpage, or to rotate the screen in landscape mode. However, the maximum brightness setting is still a bit dim, and I find it rather difficult to use in sunlight.
The camera takes amazingly good quality pictures (for a phone), and excellent video, with plenty of features and effects, and a powerful camera flash. The battery life is good, it can certainly last a day with moderate use, but it has trouble making it through 2 days without charging, but it is removable, so you could purchase a second battery and swap them when the battery is low and charging is unavailable.
I have the 16gb version, and I never have used more than 8gb out of the 12gb available, but this phone features a micro SD card slot, so if it becomes necessary later on to expand the storage, it is possible to add more storage, up to 64gb. You cannot install apps on the micro SD card, but you can store music, files, movies, etc, which can definitely come in handy.
I am glad Samsung added a button clear all recent apps, instead of having to swipe them all away individually, as well as a task manager, and the ability to clear the ram, as they are all useful. The speaker is quite loud, but I find the vibrate mode is fairly weak, and it is hard to feel the phone vibrate in the pocket, especially with a case. The power button is also very flimsy, and volume rocker has very little resistance, so I find myself accidentally changing the volume often while taking it out of my pocket, and it is a bit annoying.
I have never had any problems with smoothness on this phone, it never stutters, or skips frames when scrolling through things, and it is very snappy and responsive. I enjoy the flexibility of android, and the ability to customize it however I like when I am bored with how the interface looks. I have almost no complaints about this phone, and the complaints that I do have about it are very minor.
I would definitely recommend this phone.
