Electronic Health Information and Privacy (EHIP) Conference

The theme of the EHIP conference for 2009 is the collection and use/disclosure of genetic information. Topics include issues concerning the consent and security mechanisms around the construction of biobanks, including linking to other data sources. The focus will be on policy as well as technical issues and solutions. The conference will also cover contemporary privacy issues.
This conference will feature a presentation by Mike Gurski, Director of the Bell Privacy Centre of Excellence, about privacy considerations in chronic disease surveillance.
