Bell introduces next generation usability lab to optimize website user experience
Bell Web Solutions launches a new, state-of-the-art usability lab in Toronto, which shows businesses exactly how their customers will respond to websites and mobile applications, and allows Bell clients to refine their products to enhance the user experience for tangible business results.
"We track eye movements and use emotional response recorders to identify precisely what grabs people's attention on a web page - and, just as important, what they completely ignore," said Gilmond Lapointe, Regional General Manager, Professional Services, for the Bell Enterprise Group.
Bell customers like Victoria Clark, Manager of Online Marketing of Canadian Tire Financial Services (CTFS), say a big part of the success of the testing facility is the quality of the Bell team that works with them.
"We are extremely pleased with the work from the Bell user experience team," said Ms Clark. "Their deep subject matter expertise on user experience has enabled CTFS to entrust Bell with its online initiatives and their work is reflected in our product. We are more than pleased with the value that Bell brings to these projects and their contribution to our online presence as a whole."
Bell tops ranking of managed IT and communications providers – Canada’s largest businesses say Bell is best in Yankee Group survey
Bell is the company best positioned to provide large Canadian enterprises with managed Information Technology (IT) and communications services, a recent Yankee Group survey has found.
The Anywhere Enterprise-Large: 2008 Canadian IT and Managed Service Survey solicited input from representatives of 199 Canadian companies with at least 500 employees.
"Large enterprises in Canada find Bell Canada is the best company to serve their global managed IT and communications needs," the survey said.
Bell delivers on full 2010 Winter Games communications needs a year in advance – faster than any previous host country
"Not only have we put the technology in place to be Games-ready faster than any host country before us, but we are the first to build an entire Olympic Games network from scratch," says Justin Webb, Vice President of Olympic Services, Bell.
"We have almost 300 km of fibre optic cable running from Vancouver to Whistler, connecting 130 Olympic and Games-related venues. Bell also engaged in a competitive recruitment and onboarding process that has resulted in our top technical experts from across Canada coming together to deliver a flawless Games in 2010."
Bell helps customers maximize investment in Unified Communications with integrated Cisco and Microsoft technologies
Bell announces the successful development of the first live demo in Canada showcasing the interoperability of the Cisco(R) Unified Communications system with Microsoft Office Communication Server (OCS) 2007.
Such interoperability can be extremely challenging but is important because it allows customers to unify their desktop and infrastructure environment, resulting in increased productivity, improved customer experience and reduced capital costs.
