The Network Management service from Bell provides end-to-end management with a variety of features and options.
You can control the degree of management and support you require by selecting one of three packages – NetControl, NetInsight, NetPerform – or by requesting a customized solution.
NetControl
The NetControl package ensures continuous availability of network services, offering everything from device surveillance to on-site maintenance.
Bell monitors your devices through a secure connection, and manages all device configurations. We poll your devices at regular intervals to ensure they remain active, and we will notify you if a problem occurs.
The NetControl service includes:
- Service assurance and fault management with end-to-end incident tracking
- Change management to minimize the impact of change-related service interruptions
- Release management to plan and oversee successful changes in the network, such as integration of new hardware and software
- Configuration management to maintain identification, control, and audit records for each of your network assets
- Financial management to calculate and effectively manage costs
- Vendor management to select appropriate vendors and ensure commitments are consistently met
- Configuration backup and restore
- Mean time to notify (MTTN) and mean time to repair (MTTR) service level objectives, service level agreements, and reporting
NetInsight
The NetInsight package builds on NetControl with detailed performance monitoring and reporting.
Bell will collect, group, and report on key performance metrics such as traffic analysis and network trends. These performance reports are valuable decision-making tools that provide an overview of your network.
The NetInsight service includes the features and reports offered with NetControl, and also includes the following features:
- An improved, user-friendly, Web-based performance reporting portal
- The ability to drill down on all Web-based reports to a device or interface, including port level reporting
- Near-real-time performance reports for a variety of key indicators and metrics
- Downloadable data that is available both graphically and numerically
NetPerform
NetPerform is a premium package that alleviates the cost and burden of maintaining in-house technical expertise. Bell collects and analyzes your network data so you can focus on making strategic network decisions.
With NetPerform, you receive all the features and reports offered with NetControl and NetInsight.
The NetPerform service also includes the following features:
- Analysis of network performance by trained Bell internetworking personnel, who also provide recommendations for improvement
- Regular network performance reviews
- Performance management to ensure the network operates within acceptable parameters
- Proactive capacity management and planning that reviews trends in network performance
- Threshold management to highlight network weaknesses
- Performance baselining
