This do-it-yourself guide will help you with doing the wiring yourself, hiring an external contractor or using the services of a Bell technician.

If you have a single-line home or business telephone service, you are responsible for the installation and maintenance of telephone wiring inside your home or business. Bell Canada installs and maintains the outside telephone wiring leading up to your house, apartment or place of business.
However, you can get a WireCare plan.

You can choose to install wiring inside your home or business yourself, or hire a technician to do this work for you. Charges will apply if you require repairs to wiring inside your home or office and in certain other circumstances. This guide provides all the information you need to install wiring inside your home or office, if you choose to do it yourself.

Note: If you have a party line or your service terminates on a hardwired phone, then Bell will repair inside wiring as part of your basic service.
