Changing your rate plan

Your wireless needs may change over time. Do you mostly call other Bell customers? Do you make local calls mostly in the evenings and on weekends? Are you a traveller who needs free long distance and roaming?

Log in to My Bell, where you can research and choose a new rate plan and have it active in a matter of minutes. Or, you can contact us to discuss your rate plan options further. If you prefer to pay per use for minimal usage during the month, check out our Prepaid options then contact us.

With My Bell, you can also:
  • See and pay your bill
  • Add funds to your Prepaid account
  • Update your account information
  • And much more...
Good to know?
  • When you change your monthly plan, the new plan is effective retroactively to 12:00 a.m. on the same day, no matter what time your account is updated.
  • When your contract expires, you don't have to do anything. You can keep your current rate plan as long as it's still in our billing system.
  • If you're on an old rate plan that's not available anymore, you won't be able to go back to it once you change it.

Adding features to your account

Personalize your plan with a great selection of features and services. For example, you can add extra air time to save on usage charges at the end of the month, or download favourite ringtones, games and pictures.

Browse and buy.

  • The bill you receive after adding a feature will show a portion of the monthly fee from the day you added the feature until the bill date plus one month's fee in advance.
  • If the features you added give you extra airtime the minutes or free calls will be prorated for the number of days remaining until your next bill date.
  • When you add a feature, it will be effective retroactively to 12:00 a.m. on the same day, no matter what time your account is updated.
  • Some features may not be compatible with your current account or mobile phone or smartphone.
