5G coverage
With Bell, you’ll get 5G coverage across Canada. Although the 5G network will take some time to roll out fully, it will begin with greater speeds in select cities, with more coming soon.
Expected download speeds (Theoretical peak download speeds may vary):
- LTE Advanced: average 25-220 Mbps
- LTE: 12-40 Mbps
- 4G HSPA+: HSPA+; average 3.5-14 Mbps
You will notice slower HSPA speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps in the following communities in the North: Arviat, Baker Lake, Cambridge Bay, Colville Lake, Holman, Igloolik, Gameti, Iqaluit, Lutselk'e, Nahanni Butt, Paulatuk, Pond Inlet, Rankin Inlet, Sachs Harbour and Ulukhaktok.
Due to technology limitations, Prepaid HSPA service will not be available in certain areas of Nunavut, namely: Cambridge Bay, Rankin Inlet and Iqaluit.
Canada's largest 4G, LTE and Wi-Fi networks.
Covering over 99% of the population, Bell offers more coverage with access to the largest 4G network in Canada. In June 2020, we launched 5G, the next-generation wireless technology, and through ongoing investments, we offer 5G in select areas across Canada. Always moving forward, we're now working to give you access to even faster speeds as we continue to roll out the 5G network.
