Updating software on my Sonim device

Bell makes sure you get software updates from your device manufacturer, so you have the latest security and performance improvements.

In your device settings, you can see the software version you’re running, check for updates and set up automatic updates (if available).

Before you update

It can take some time to install updates, so make sure your device is:

  • Charged or plugged in
  • Connected to Wi-Fi

To check your software version:

  1. Select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select About phone.
  4. The software version is displayed under Build Number.

To update your software:

  1. Select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select System.
  4. Scroll to and select Advanced.
  5. Select System updates.
  6. Select Update.
  7. If an update is available, select Download and Install. If an update isn't available, select OK to return to the home screen.
