To activate on a Bell phone plan, you need:

  • - eSIM capable mobile phone or a physical SIM card
  • - A valid foreign passport

An eSIM is a digital SIM that's built into certain mobile devices. It lets you activate a plan with a phone number without needing a physical SIM card.

Your phone must be unlocked and compatible with LTE AWS (1700 MHz) or LTE 700 MHz bands, or UMTS/HSPA compatible on 850/1900 MHz bands in order to be activated. See your phone's user guide for information about network compatibility.

  10. Using the data from your plan, your phone becomes a Wi-Fi connection for other devices, like tablets and laptops. Hotspot capabilities must be turned on in your device settings to be used.

Sent texts include texts sent to a U.S. or International phone number while in Canada and excludes texts sent to a landline, roaming, alerts, premium texts (short codes), and texts sent with an instant messaging application.
