Here are some frequently asked questions and answers about the network charge:
Q. What are the details of the network charge?
A. The Bell Canada Long Distance Network Charge of $9.95 per month is applied for business customers who are on Bell's long distance savings plans. The rate was effective as of March 1, 2010.
Q. Do customers have an option other than paying the network charge?
A. Yes. Customers have the option to switch to Bell's long distance base rates, including time-of-day discounts, in which case they would not have to pay the $9.95 network charge in subsequent months. However, customers that move to Bell's long distance base rates will no longer benefit from the preferred rates that apply to the long distance plan to which they used to subscribe.
Q. Where does the network charge appear on customers' bills?
A. The charge is reflected in the Monthly Services section of the bill.
