Canada’s fastest national 5G network is here.1
5G will be a true game changer for Canada.
5G is the next generation of wireless technology. With full deployment over the next few years, it will enhance the lives of all Canadians.
5G connectivity will enable immersive video and gaming experiences, remote telehealth, self-driving vehicles, and new applications that will change the way we work, live and play.
To fully realize the generational opportunities of 5G, massive investment in new wireless spectrum, technology and infrastructure is required, and Bell is leading the way to deliver Canadians the best 5G network in the world.
Bell 5G will offer unprecedented speed on select devices, with the rollout in select areas of Western Canada, Ontario, and Québec.
Not all 5G networks are created equal. While many may say they have 5G, it takes a leader in network innovation to build Canada’s best 5G network. Bell has the world-class infrastructure required to provide the coverage, reliability and support needed to deliver the network of the future.
What 5G will mean for Canada’s fastest national network.1
Our 5G enables theoretical peak download speed of up to 1.7 Gbps* in select areas of Western Canada, Ontario, and Québec for an incredible mobile experience (average expected speeds between 69-385 Mbps in the Greater Toronto Area). Once future 5G technology is fully deployed, it will enable mobile experiences and applications that we can’t even imagine today.
Up to 6x faster speeds
Future 5G technology deployments will have theoretical peak download speeds that are up to 6x faster than 4G LTE. This means large files will be downloaded in seconds, videos will be streamed in the highest resolution, and you’ll benefit from an overall better experience.
5G will also provide faster Internet speeds to users in remote areas that currently don’t have access to fibre technology.
Up to 1,000x greater capacity
Future 5G technology connected devices will be able to receive multiple streams of data, dramatically increasing their capacity to enjoy reliably fast speeds, even during peak times, regardless of how large an event or deployment.
Up to 3x lower latency
Future 5G technology will allow devices to connect to one another with a lightning-fast response time. This opens up possibilities for new solutions or technologies that rely on real-time communication.
Enhancing the future with 5G.
Here are just some of the exciting new 5G-enabled experiences that will eventually improve your customers’ and team’s experiences in revolutionary ways, while opening up a world of possibilities.
Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR)
Enter immersive experiences with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). 5G’s lower latency and faster connections will make it possible to create immersive training exercises for employees, and sales pitches and 3D presentations for customers.
5G will help to improve business operations by enabling more connected devices and applications for IoT deployments. With the growing need for connectivity and growth, businesses will be able to get real-time data, make better decisions, and streamline processes.
Connected and self-driving vehicles
5G will eventually usher in a new era of driverless vehicles by enabling near real-time communication between devices. This will help us improve safety, manage traffic, and increase the efficiency of future connected vehicles.
Canada's fastest national 5G network is here.1
Bell is at the cutting edge of the world’s most advanced network technologies. We are beginning the rollout of 5G in select cities with more to come.
5G for medium and large business.
With 5G, businesses will be well positioned to take advantage of compatible 5G devices and improved solutions, enabling them to gain market share and operational efficiencies against their competitors.
*Speed, performance, and whether a 5G device uses the available 5G depends on various factors including topography, environmental conditions, the current serving radio conditions at your location, whether the device is actively downloading or uploading data and subject to Bell’s Internet traffic management practices (e.g., priority access to emergency personnel and critical infrastructure personnel). See bell.ca/ITMP. Outside 5G areas, 5G devices will continue to have access to our fastest 4G speeds available.
