Smartphones must meet the following requirements to be eligible for return:
It powers on and navigates properly to the home screen
Keyboard and/or touchscreen is responsive and functions properly
Display and body of the smartphone are free of any visible chips, cracks, and missing parts
Battery and battery cover are included
For an Apple iPhone, the “Find My iPhone Activation Lock” function is turned off and no longer linked to your Apple ID (iCloud account)
For an Android smartphone, “Activation Lock Protection” (also known as “Device Protection”) is turned off
Frequently asked questions about Device Return Option
After 12 months, you can return your smartphone and either leave the program or upgrade early to a new phone. You will need to pay back the Device Return Option deferral amount (including financed taxes on this amount) at the time of purchase, as well as your outstanding device balance, plus applicable taxes.
