Background on CRTC mandate

Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) use existing mobile networks to offer wireless service. The CRTC recently mandated that national carriers, including Bell, provide network access to eligible facilities-based carriers in Canada.

The mandated terms and conditions for MVNO access will be set out in Bell’s tariff, which is currently being finalized with the CRTC.

Bell is currently accepting MVNO access requests from facilities-based wireless carriers.
